Terms of Use

Updated: June 19, 2026

The content on this website is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, examination, or treatment by a licensed physician.

Welcome to the website of Hawaii Premier Dermatology (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Practice”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, including all pages, content, and features (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing, using, or browsing the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You further agree that the provisions, disclosures, and disclaimers set forth herein are fair and reasonable, and that your agreement to follow and be bound by them is voluntary and is not the result of fraud, duress, or undue influence exercised upon you by any person or entity. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.

1. Educational and Informational Purpose Only

All content on the Site — including text, articles, images, videos, treatment descriptions, before-and-after examples, and any other materials — is provided solely for general educational and informational purposes. The content is intended to help you learn about dermatologic conditions and treatment options in general terms.

The Site does not provide medical advice. Nothing on the Site is intended to be, and should not be interpreted as, a recommendation, diagnosis, or treatment for any individual person or condition. Skin and hair conditions vary widely from person to person, and only a qualified, board-certified dermatologist can evaluate your specific situation through an in-person examination.

Unless otherwise noted, the content and any products or services referenced on the Site are made available for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree to use the Site only for lawful, non-commercial purposes and in compliance with all applicable international, federal, state, and local laws.

2. No Physician-Patient Relationship

Using the Site, reading its content, or contacting us through the Site does not create a physician-patient relationship between you and Hawaii Premier Dermatology or any of its physicians or staff. A physician-patient relationship is established only after you schedule and attend an appointment, complete the appropriate intake and consent process, and are formally accepted as a patient of the Practice.

3. Not for Emergencies

The Site is not designed for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on the Site or on any electronic communication with us for urgent or emergency medical needs.

4. Always Consult a Qualified Professional

Before making any decision about your health, or starting, stopping, or changing any treatment, medication, or skincare regimen, you should consult a board-certified dermatologist or other qualified healthcare provider. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on the Site. Treatments described on the Site are options to discuss with a physician; individual results vary and no specific outcome is promised or guaranteed.

5. Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on the Site current and accurate. However, medicine evolves, and we make no warranty that all content is complete, accurate, or up to date at any given time. The Site may contain general information that does not reflect the most recent medical developments. We reserve the right to modify, update, or remove content at any time without notice. By accessing the Site, it is your responsibility to implement sufficient procedures and checkpoints to satisfy your particular requirements for accuracy of data input and output.

6. Communications Through the Site

Any contact, appointment-request, or messaging features on the Site are provided for general, non-urgent communication and convenience. Please do not transmit detailed personal health information, sensitive medical history, or emergency concerns through unsecured web forms or email. Communications sent through such channels may not be secure, and we cannot guarantee their confidentiality in transit.

For protected health information or other sensitive or time-sensitive matters, please contact our office directly by telephone, as this is the most reliable way to reach us securely. Note that no method of communication is entirely risk-free, and as with any telephone or voicemail system, there is a limited risk that messages could be intercepted or accessed by an unintended party. By choosing to communicate with us by phone, email, or standard SMS messaging, you accept these risks. In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911 rather than attempting to reach us through any of these channels.

By communicating with us electronically or by viewing the Site, you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

7. Patient Portal and Account Security

If you access our Patient Portal or any other secured access area of the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, as well as all activities and actions that occur under your account.

8. Age Restriction

The Site is designed and intended for users who are 18 years of age and older. The Site is not intended to be accessed by children. If you are under the age of 18, you should have a parent or guardian assist with your use of the Site.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and the overall design — is the property of Hawaii Premier Dermatology or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial, informational use only. Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, copy, publish, license, republish, or otherwise exploit any content on the Site for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. The Practice makes every effort to comply with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

10. Third-Party Links and Advertisements

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources, as well as third-party advertisements, provided for your convenience and educational reference. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site, and the inclusion of a link or advertisement does not constitute or imply our endorsement or guarantee of that site, its content, or any advertised product or service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all of its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, worms, or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hawaii Premier Dermatology and its physicians, staff, and affiliates will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with your access to, use of, or reliance on the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Site is to stop using it.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Hawaii Premier Dermatology and its physicians, staff, and affiliates harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party arising out of or relating to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on any information contained on the Site.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion and without notice, by updating this page. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. By using the Site, you agree and consent that any claim or dispute that in any way relates to your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This agreement and consent also apply to any person attempting to advance a claim on your behalf.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms represent the entire understanding between you and Hawaii Premier Dermatology concerning your use of the Site and its contents, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to such use.
